Week’s Top Deals Total Up to $2.6B

Galderma is acquiring CollaGenex for approximately $420 million. CollaGenex is developing a product for the treatment of rosacea-associated erythema, as well as a product with the potential to provide added benefits for the treatment of psoriasis. Galderma (2/26)

Cypress Bioscience is acquiring Proprius Pharmaceuticals for $37.5 million upfront as well as an additional $37.5 million in potential milestone-related payments associated with the development of Proprius’ therapeutic candidates. Genmab is acquiring PDL BioPharma’s antibody manufacturing facility for $240 million. Genmab expects the facility will be sufficient to provide a sustainable source of both clinical and commercial-scale material for its pipeline. Genmab (2/21)

Acceleron Pharma and Celgene Corporation are collaborating on the joint development and commercialization of ACE-011, a bone-forming compound, and have also signed an option agreement for certain discovery stage programs.
