Head of Global Drug Development Is Leaving
|
March
20, 2008--Novartis’ head of
global drug development, James Shannon, is leaving the company. In the
wake of Shannon’s departure, Trevor Mundel (formerly Novartis’ global
head of exploratory clinical development) and Andrin Oswald (formerly
president of Novartis’ pharmaceutical business in South Korea) will run
the development arm in two newly created roles. Last month, Novartis
announced that the head of its North American pharmaceuticals unit, Alex
Gorsky, had resigned and would be returning to Johnson & Johnson. The
