Why
You Can’t Tell Where Your Medication Was Made

8, 2008--Since contaminated
batches of heparin from China were recently linked to numerous
deaths, some are asking whether drug companies should be required
to list countries of origin for their medications. Active and
inactive ingredients must be listed on a drug’s label, but not
the raw materials or their origins. Whether requiring more public
disclosure about sourcing would enhance safety is a subject of
debate. The
