IMS Health: Overall Sales Growth in the US Rx Market Moderated in 2007

March 12, 2008--IMS Health has released its annual U.S. Pharmaceutical Market Performance Review^TM, reporting that overall sales growth in the US prescription market moderated to 3.8% in 2007, compared with growth of more than 8% in 2006. IMS’s Murray Aitken, senior vice president, Healthcare Insight, said in a statement: “In 2007, the US pharmaceutical market experienced its lowest growth rate since 1961.” IMS
