Lechleiter is Eli Lilly and Co.’s CEO as of April 1. How will
Lilly’s new leader—a 29-year Lilly veteran—combat the
pending loss of patent protection for the company’s best-selling
drug and a slumping stock price, among other challenges?
Lechleiter thinks communication is a crucial part of his new job,
and believes that leaders need to be visible. His top priority
will be to push forward on the company's pipeline of new drugs,
